Ruth Merritt

Ruth Merritt, age 86, of Knoxville, TN passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 14, 2024 with her beloved family by her side. Ruth was a member of Highland View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rancy Merritt; parents, Clifton and Elive Robertson; brothers and sister-in-law, Clyde (Elizabeth) Robertson, Claude Robertson, Kenneth Robertson, Wayne Robertson and Harold Robertson. Ruth is survived by her children, Delores (David) Carter, Lynn (Tammy) Merritt, Vicky (David) Fowler and Mark Merritt; grandchildren, Matthew (Cindel), Ashley, Melissa (Matt), Rachel (Kris), Clifton (Christi), Amber (James), Jessica (Kyle) and Adrienne (Michael) great-grandchildren; Briley, Drake, Caroline, Baby Boy Glass, Kayley, Annabel, Noah and Harper; sisters-in-law, Lois Robertson, Freda Robertson, Mary Robertson and Sue Drinnon. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM. Reverend Terry Walker officiating. Family and friends will meet by 1:45 PM Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery for a 2:00 PM interment service.
