Ruth Ballard

Mabel Ruth Ballard, age 89 of Andersonville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on December 30, 2022. Ruth was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and was retired from McNeely Family Physicians and spent her retirement taking care of her husband and family. Ruth was a beautiful lady that will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry E. Ballard; parents, William (Dad) Norris and Maude (Granny) Norris; brothers, Adrian Norris, Frank (Ted) Norris, Lloyd Norris, R. L. Norris; sisters, Juanita Wagner and Louise Fraker. She is survived by her husband of seventy one years, William (Bill) Ballard; daughters and sons in law, Teresa and Roy Stooksbury and Sheila and Terry Archer, all of Andersonville, TN; grandchildren, Brad Stooksbury of Buffalo, NY, Shane Stooksbury of Norris, TN, Rodney Archer of Andersonville, TN, Michelle Archer Scott of Alva, FL, Megan Archer Bradley of Murphy, TX, Ashley Ballard of Nashville, TN and Victoria Ballard of Smyrna, GA and their spouses; nine great grandchildren; brother, Bobby Norris and wife Betty of Knoxville, TN; sisters in law, Betty Norris and Sammie Neeley; brother in law, Harry Ballard and special friend, Vandilla Fielden; many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. Funeral service 10:00 AM Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Moore and Reverend Doug Fielden officiating.
