Roy Eugene Trent, age 75, of Knoxville, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on October 14th 2025. He was the son of the late C.W and Lottie (Gilbert) Trent. He was a dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He spent his last 35 years working on pressure washers all over Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, and Virginia, met and made friends in each state. His past-time was trading, buying, selling cars, and trucks and riding Harley’s until his health caused him to stop. He gave his life to Jesus at an early age and was of the Baptist faith. He talked of being ready to go see his loved ones that had gone on before him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Sister, Mary Green; Father and Mother-in-law, Lon Sr. and Edith (Campbell) Whaley; Sister-in-law, Charlene Phillips; Sister and Brother-in-law, Linda (Whaley) and Roy Lee Phillips; Brother and Sister-in-law, Larry and Linda E. Davis Whaley; Sister-in-law, Donna Whaley; Brother-in-law, Jim Moser. He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Patricia (Whaley) Trent; Daughter, Shanna Trent Johnson; Son, Michael and Amanda Johnson Trent; Mother of his children, Linda Hughes; Stepson, Matt Rosser; Great-Granddaughter, Rain Phillips; Sisters, Diane and Jody of Knoxville, Tn., Margie Moser of Knoxville, TN., Missy and Anetia Daniels of K; Brother, Charles and Brenda Trent; In-Laws, Lon Jr. and Donna Whaley of Oneida, TN., Johnnie Schensks of Ohio, Joan Stonecipher of Florida, and Shirley and Cliff Terry of Oneida, TN.; Grandchildren, Lauren Johnson, Ali Rae Johnson, John Michael Trent, Emilie Trent, Storm Rosser, Piper Rosser, Ashlynn Wilford, Dylan Porter, Stone Rosser, and Jett Rosser; Great-Grandchildren, Parker Rosser, Aspen Baget, Alana Baget, Tucker Baget, Scout Rosser, Whaley Jane Rosser, Maverick Byrd, Waylon Rosser, and Maisie Rosser; and many special nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his caregiver Kristy Ethridge of Covenant Health Hospice. The McNeely Family Practice, Dr. Mary Hoel and all of our friends and neighbors that have touched our lives with kindness over the years.
