Roy L. Kruse

Royden Lamont “Roy” Kruse, age 82, of Halls went home to be with his Lord Friday, February 11, 2022 at his home. He had a career as a Teamster Union Representative for Local 692 for 27 years. After he retired Ray spent his time helping his community and being involved with multiple charities such as East Tennessee Epilepsy Foundation, Young Williams Animal Shelter, and The United Way. Roy also spent his time serving on the North Knoxville Business Association, Knox County Sheriff’s Merit and Ethics Boards. Roy was a United States Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Alice. Survivors; daughters, Robin Byrd, Cathy Larson, Mary Davis, Heather (Chris) Wheeler, Kathy Larsen, and Terry Ballard, son, Royden “Monty” Kruse. Along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 5-7pm Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel followed by a 7pm Celebration of Life Service. Congressman Tim Burchett Eulogist. Family and friends will meet at 11:45am Friday, February 25, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel to leave in procession for a 12:30pm committal service at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (John Sevier) with military honors.
