Roy Christopher King

Roy "Chris" King, age 51, of Knoxville, entered the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Chris was born on October 3, 1974. He was a master carpenter for many years. He also loved cooking, sports, and spending time with family, especially his grandkids. He was a loving husband, "best dad" and amazing pap pap. Chris is preceded in death by mother, Shirley Ann Black and father, Roy "Bud" King; cousin, Timmy King; aunt and uncle's, Jamie King, Scottie King, and Mike King. Chris is survived by his wife of 27 years, April Monroe-King (who will always have him in her heart); daughter, Alexus "Nikki" King and son, Christopher (Madison) King; grandchildren, Andrew "Bradyn" Broussard, Annaleigh King, Izabella "Bella" King; sister, Kesha Garrett; cousin, Todd Bell and many more. The family will receive friends family Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 5:00pm-7:00pm with a 7:00pm funeral service to follow at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel officiated by Chris's uncle, Rev. Larry Brooks. 

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be both made towards funeral costs and charitable for family's expenses during this difficult time.
