Roy Thomas Kelley

Roy Thomas “Tom” Kelley, age 82, of Knoxville, Tn, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026. 

Tom was a Knoxville native, a graduate from East High School and he attended the University of Tennessee prior to starting his career in the apparel industry with Levi Strauss, Co. He later worked for John H. Daniel Company and Alpha Industries. Tom loved his family, the outdoors and his Brittany, Marley. 

He was married to the love of his life, Georgia Woods Kelley, for 59 years. He is survived by his daughter, Erin (Joe) Dowd, son, Michael (Ryan) Carroll-Kelley, and his cherished granddaughter, Ella Katherine Smith. Tom is survived by his brother, Pat Kelley of Hampton, VA, nephew, Kevin Kelley of Virginia Beach, VA and niece, Pamela Gatz, Newport News, VA. 

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. George M. and Gladys Kelley, brothers George and Joe Kelley, and sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Kelley (Pat).

 A private graveside service will be held at a later date. The family extends a special thanks to the staff at Park West Medical Center, Sacred Ground Hospice House, and the Genesis Foundation for their compassion and support.
