Roy Andrew Britt

Roy Andrew Britt, aged 68, of Strawberry Plains passed away on September 30, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. He loved being outdoors with his fishing pole in his hands while enjoying the peace that came with being on the water. Roy also had a strong love for watching NASCAR races, wrestling matches, western movies and of course: the Tennessee Vols.

He is preceded in death by his parents George Voss Britt Sr. and Jeanette Minton Britt, as well as his brothers Donnie Britt, Gary Minton, George Voss Britt Jr., Michael Britt, along with his sisters Vickey Miller, Gail Carmon and Barbara Lane. He is survived by brothers Chris (Kim) Britt, Wayne (Kathy) Britt, sister Carolyn Cross, and his daughters Angel (Greg) Schlau, Wendy (Buford) Britt-Watson, Heather (Dillon) Britt, Tracy (Charlie) Lawson as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

His laughter, his sense of humor, and his love to have fun will be deeply missed. Though he is no longer here to cast a line or share a laugh with, his memory will live on forever.

The family will receive friends on Saturday October 3, 2026, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
