Reverend Ronald (Ronnie) K. Ellis, age 63, passed away just after midnight on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. He battled cancer for over two years before going home to be with the Lord. Ronnie was preceded in death by his son, Randall Ellis; parents, Clyde and Grace Ellis; grandparents, Leon and Ruth Steward; grandmother, Ann Tarwater. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Faye Ellis; brother-in-law, Charley (Tammy) Boles; sister-in-law, Ann Moyers; brothers, Bruce (Michelle), David (Hope) Ellis; daughter in law, Brandy Ellis; grandchildren, Zachary, Austin (Ryley) and Nick Ellis; great grandchildren, Raelynn and Ember; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ronnie worked as a minister for over 45 years, touching lives and leading people to the Lord along the way. He was known as a leader in the church, a man you could call in need, and a positive example to live your life in God’s image. He will be deeply missed, but his family is at peace that he gets to take his seat beside the Lord.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 5:00-7:00pm with a 7:00pm funeral service to follow at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet Thursday, January 29, 2025 at 2:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel to go in procession to Ft. Sumter cemetery for a 3:00pm graveside service with Rev.
