Ronald Edgar Bright

Ronald Edgar Bright, age 88, of Knoxville, TN, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025. He was the son of Ed and Mildred Bright. Ronnie was raised on Dry Gap Pike and farmed his whole life. He was a longtime member of Sharon Baptist Church. He is survived by his local first cousins: Doug and Ann Snelson, Lynn and Myra Sowder and Donna Higdon; and Cousins in nearby states. He is also survived by his dear and close friends, Meirav Matityahou and Nick Hill. Ronnie’s second family is the staff at NHC Knoxville who have cared for him almost ten years. Our family is so thankful for the love and care that they have given him. A very special thank you goes to Amedisys Hospice and his loving Sharon Baptist Church family. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to Sharon Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM. Reverend Mark McCoig will be officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 10:45 AM at Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment.
