Roger Dale Kidd

Roger Dale Kidd, age 53, of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Monday January 12, 2015 surrounded by his family after a brave battle with cancer. He was a member of Belmont Heights Baptist Church and a graduate of Central High School. He retired from Travis Air Force Base in California after 21 years of service with the 60 AMW. Preceded in death by parents, Wanda & John Roach; son Travis. His memory will be cherished by children Krisden and Justin; sisters Tammy and Angie; aunts Darlene and Diane; uncles Ronnie, Danny, Wayne and Sammy; close cousins Ronnie and Billy; brother-in-law Scott; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friend Kenny Fuller. Special thanks to Dr. Mitchell Martin, TN Cancer Specialists, Hospice Nurse Raquel and Covenant Hospice. Family will receive friends 5 to 7pm Saturday at Belmont Heights Baptist Church with funeral service to follow. Rev. Gene Wood and Donnie Whaley officiating. Family and friends will meet at TN Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Hwy. at 11:15am Tuesday Jan. 20th for an 11:30 interment service. Flowers and donations will be accepted at the funeral home.
