Robert Edward Rutherford

Robert Edward Rutherford, age 81, of Knoxville, went to be with his Heavenly Father on February 23, 2026. Bob was a member of Central Baptist Church of  Fountain City and a graduate of Central High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran who loved and served his country. Bob owned several automotive dealerships throughout his life, and had a love of the lake, boating, family, and friends.  The family would like to thank the Veteran's Services and Lela Caylor, caregiver.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Carley Rutherford and Helen McPhetridge Rutherford, his brother Gary Rutherford, and the love of his life, wife Jeannie Rutherford. He is survived by his twin brother Bill Rutherford, brother Ricky Rutherford, sister Carla (Bill) Cantrell, daughter Renee (Ed) Sweeny, daughter Robin (John) Smith and bonus daughter Tracy (Travis) Kirby; 9 grandchildren and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 7th from 3-5 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. The funeral service will immediately follow at 5pm with Pastor Ed Sweeny officiating. Family and friends will meet at Skaggs Cemetery at 1pm on Sunday, March 8th for a graveside service.
