Robert W. Rhodes

Robert W. Rhodes, age 90, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026. He was a Christian and a member of Sharon Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, who was stationed in New York City and served on the Military Police Unit. Robert loved his Tennessee Volunteers, the Atlanta Braves, and his faithful dog, Bailey.

Robert was preceded in death by wife, Mary Rhodes; mother, Cordie Rhodes; sister, Betty Williamson; brother, Floyd Rhodes, Jack Rhodes and Jim Moore; niece, Ginger Davis; and nephew, Kenny Anderson.

He is survived by sisters-in-law, Janet Penn and Dottie Daust; brother-in-law, Larry (Annette) Hart; and great-nephew, Dustin Davis.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pati and Jerry Rimmer, Angie Hobby, Jeana Kirby, Allison Bailey, Junior Wampler, Steve France and Clyde Reed.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, with a service to follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Mark McCoig and Dr. Jim Robertson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery for 11:00 am Graveside. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to The Legacy Fund at Sharon Baptist Church.
