Robert Louis Mynatt

Robert “Bob” Louis Mynatt, age 95, went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2022. He was a loving husband and father and a member and Deacon at Union Baptist Church. He worked for the Bank of Knoxville, Third National Bank, and SunTrust Bank, where he retired from after 42 years. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, where he served on the U.S.S. Hornet. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Mynatt; son, Robert S. Mynatt; and parents, William Tell Mynatt and Sarah Hassie Mynatt. He is survived by children, Roger (Kristine) Mynatt and Carmilla Pilant; daughter-in-law, Debbie Mynatt; grandchildren, Jessica Mynatt, Jenna (Dustin) Mynatt, Juliana Mynatt, and Tell Mynatt; brother, Harold “Pete” Mynatt; sister, Hazel (George) Brooks; special neighbors, Ray Hosack and Rodney Raley; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. A special thank you to the staff at Jefferson Park at Dandridge, especially the staff and elders of the Franklin Cottage, as well as the staff at Smoky Mountain Hospice. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Friday, September 2, 2022, at the Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with a service to follow at 7:00pm, with Dr. Jerry Vittatoe officiating.
