Robert "Donnie" Calloway

Robert “Donnie” Calloway, age 71, of Knoxville passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Sacred Ground Hospice House surrounded by his loved ones. He was of the Baptist Faith. He retired from H.S. Whitson Construction Company as superintendent after 20 plus years of service. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, he loved going to the lake and he was a hard worker supporting his family. He was a wonderful loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by parents, Ruth and Jeffrey Calloway, brother, Larry Calloway, sisters, Liz Geames, Dee Bunch and Mary Bunch. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Shirley (Shirl) Calloway, daughter, Amanda “Mandy” (Trevor) Parton, Cindy Smith, step-daughter, Natalie Cox, special brother, Jim Calloway, sisters, Shirley Mitchell and Debbie Russell, grandchild, Kelsey Marie and 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel 4131 E Emory Rd followed by a 7:00pm funeral service, Rev. Dave Mason officiating. The burial will be private
