Robert (Bob) Monroe Henry, Jr.

Robert "Bob" Monroe Henry, Jr. age 87, of Powell, TN passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, November 25, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 29, 1936, to the late Robert and Lucille (Collins) Henry. Following graduation from high school, Bob worked a couple of different jobs but eventually became a truck driver and owner/operator where he developed a love for C.B. radios, going by the handle "Shade Tree". Bob loved Jesus his whole life and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed watching old westerns, gardening, music, whittling and being with his family. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Doris Louise (Adams) Henry, daughter, Pamela Henry and infant daughters, Lisa Marie and Sherry Lynn. He is survived by his daughter, Karen (Sherrod) Sims and son, Scott (Cindy) Henry; grandchildren, Shannon (Shane), Dawn (Matt), Triston (Emma) and Garrett; great-grandchildren, Keith (Rebecca) Burton, Alex Hall (Josie), Madison Brady and Siler Henry; great-great-grandchildren, Aubrey Burton, Lena Burton, Amelia Burton and Kaden. The family would like to express their very special thanks to family friend and caretaker, Sandy DeFord. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, November 29, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Reverend Danny Buchannan officiating. Family and friends will meet by 10:45 AM Saturday, November 30, 2024, at McCampbell Chapel Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment service.
