Robert "Bob" Joseph Dennis

Robert “Bob” Joseph Dennis, 86, met his heavenly Father on Tuesday morning, August 6, 2024. He resided in Powell, TN with his wife Becky. Bob attended Lemon-Monroe High School in Monroe, Ohio. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service. Bob was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church. Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. He was also an avid UT football fan and he greatly enjoyed boating. He traveled the world with the Navy but his favorite place was Cades Cove. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Faye Estes, infant son Robert J. Dennis, Jr., sister Cookie West. Survived by wife of 43 years Rebecca Dennis, daughters Kimberly (Jeff) Long and Karin (Lee) Lyons, brother Dean (Sheri) Estes, sister Billie Rae Christy, 5 grandchildren,10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 3:00-5:00pm Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Black Oak Heights Baptist Church with service to follow at 5:00pm, Rev. Todd Stinnett officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Monday, August 12, 2024, at Grandview Cemetery in Maryville for an 11:00am interment. Services will include military honors.
