Robert James Blanchard IV

Robert James Blanchard IV, age 21 of Powell, TN passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

He was an incredibly talented mechanic; everyone knew who to ask for help. Even at a young age, he was fixing lawn mowers and vehicles for his family and neighbors. He was also creative and used his artistic talent to create Christmas tree ornaments out of car parts.

Robert was an amazing person who will never be forgotten for his kindness and willingness to help people.

Robert is preceded in death by great grandfather, Wendell Honeycutt; grandfather, Robert Blanchard Sr.; grandmother, Ruth Blanchard; grandfather, Bill Cripe; grandparents, Luther and Betty Rudd; great-great grandmother, Ruby McDonald.

Survived by his wife, Clay Alizabeth Day, parents, Robert Blanchard III and Suzanne Blanchard; sisters, Aurelia Blachard and Hope Burt; grandparents, Susie and Ralph Honeycutt; grandfather, Robert Blanchard Jr.; great grandmother, Judy Cripe; great great-grandmother, Loretta Honeycutt; best friend, Jacob Stinnett; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Knox County Rescue, Anderson County Rescue, Anderson County EMS, Claxton Volunteer Fire Department, Anderson County Sheriff’s Department, and Knox County Sheriff’s Department.
