Robert “Bob” Paul Apjok, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 27, 2026. Born on November 21, 1951, in Homer City, Pennsylvania, to Andrew and Eva Apjok, Bob later served in the United States Army and earned a degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Debra and Richard. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy; his children, Amy (John)Geer, Bob Apjok Jr., and Scott (Ashley) Apjok; his grandchildren, Abbey (Will) Wilson, Maggie Apjok, and Lucas Apjok; and his great-grandchildren, Vivian and Maxwell Wilson.
Above all else, Bob was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His wisdom, strength, love, and laughter filled every family gathering. More than any accomplishments, Bob will be remembered for the way he loved others. He had a servant’s heart and was always willing to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or simply sit and listen. His life reflected his deep faith, and the love of Christ shone clearly through his actions each day. Whether helping a neighbor, supporting a friend, or welcoming someone new, Bob treated everyone with kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. He made people feel valued and cared for, and his steady presence was a blessing to all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life and the heritage of faith he leaves behind. His life was a testimony to love, service, and unwavering trust in the Lord.
The family will receive friends on March 5, 2026, at Mynatt Funeral Home in Fountain City at 6:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor William Wilson officiating. Following this service, Bob will be returned to Roanoke, Virginia where he shared so many years and memories with friends and family for a secondary memorial service at a later date.
