Robert Warren Adcock

Robert Warren "Wild Man" Adcock, age 64 of Strawberry Plains, TN, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026 at his home.  Robert was a 1980 graduate of Carter High School.  He was born on May 27, 1962 to James Robert Adcock and Edith Adcock.  Robert was a well-known and respected HVAC Technician throughout the southeast including Tennessee, Alabama and Florida.  There wasn't a job that was too difficult for him.  His knowledge of the field made him a sought-after mentor for those learning the trade.  Robert was known for his honest work and he donated so much of his time, equipment and would often provide new air units for people at no cost.   He loved riding his motorcycle until his physical disability would no longer allow him to do so.  He was an expert at the smoker and loved entertaining his friends and family with his specialty smoked meats.  He was an avid collector of Jack Daniels memorabilia.  He was known as the "Sheriff" and "Mayor" of the Country Club Park when he resided in Sanford, Florida.  He loved his dogs, especially "Feisty" and Max, who preceded him in death. 

He was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Adcock.

Robert is survived by his wife, Regina Adcock; mother, Edith Adcock; son, William (Cassandra Pike) Adcock; sisters, Tish Adcock Lochridge and Christie Adcock; grandchildren, Kaven, Kassidy and Hailey Adcock; stepdaughters, Amanda (Todd Shelton) England and Karen (Curt) Worth; step grandson, Curtis Worth.  He is also survived by his three beloved dogs, Smokey, Elvis and Chandler.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm - 7:00pm, Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm.  Don Schunck, Larry Baldwin and Dexter Jordan officiating.  The family will meet at 1:45pm, Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Thorngrove Cemetery in Strawberry Plains for a 2:00pm interment service.  Pallbearers will be William Adcock, Kaven Adcock, Larry Baldwin, Todd Shelton, Mick Mascazine and Charles Mascazine.

The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to the staff at UT Hospice and especially to RN Hylan for their care of Robert over the last year.  Robert formed a special bond with Chaplain Dexter Jordan who took the time and met with Robert many times.
