Ricky Lynn Akin

Ricky Lynn Akin, age 55, passed away July 19, 2015. He served 15 years in the Army. Preceded in death by father Leroy Akin; grandparents Zora Yoder Rollins, Walter Lee Yoder, Ida Mae Akin and Raymond Akin; grandfather Clarence Rollins. Survived by mother Nancy Sue Yoder Akin Gambrel and step-father Don Gambrel; wife Carol Akin; stepchildren Joshua and Erica Ryan, Marisa, Monica and Alex Florez; brother Robert and Connie Akin; sisters Sandra Rector, Nikki and Andrew Sharpe; half brothers Darren and Mark Akin; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Family and friends will meet 11:15am Friday at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN for 11:30am graveside service with full military honors. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family.
