Ricky Eugene Abner

Ricky Eugene Abner, age 63, of Knoxville, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at UT Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Ricky was known for always spreading the word of God to whoever he met. He loved his family dearly and always wanted them to know. He loved to laugh and have a good time, loved his fur babies and always talked about them to everybody, they will miss him dearly Tyson, Paisley and Dom.

Preceded in death by grandparents, Joe and Dicie Abner, Robert Yearout and Mildred Norton; brother, Edward (Eddie) Abner.

Survived by loving wife, Angie Abner; children, Tiffani Abner (David), Katie Tanner (Reed) and Wesley Ward (Kristellin); parents, Eugene (Gene) and Joyce Abner; grandchildren, Christopher Abner whom he had a special bond with, Kylie Kaiser, Klairelaine and Kandellin Ward; special sister, Teresa Abner Smith.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 5:00pm until time of funeral service at 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Darrell Seaton officiating. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 12:45pm at Kitts Cemetery for a 1:00pm graveside service.
