Rickie Allen Hyder, age 68, of Knoxville, went to be with Jesus on August 3, 2025, surrounded by many loving family members and friends. He was a member of the West View Community Church and a faithful servant in the children’s ministry. His heart’s desire was to teach children and youth about Jesus.
Rick graduated from Rule High School in 1975 and retired from ARC Automotive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Hyder; grandparents Jesse and Florence Hyder, and Sam and Nellie Horn; brothers Terry Hyder and Garry Hyder. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Hyder; daughter, Amanda Malott; grandchildren, Nicholas, Braylen, and Ashton Malott. He is also survived by his sisters, Charlotte Haun and Shri-Lahn Holder; mother-in-law, Betty Fuller; sister-in-law, Diana Hyder and Donna McDonald; and several special nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. He also dearly loved grandchildren of the heart: Allison, Daniel )Elise and Ellie), Sarah, Mason and Ruthie.

Pallbearers include Jordan Doane, Mark Hamrick, Michael Ward, Rick Wiley, Preston Ward, and Brannon Hyder.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. On Thursday, August 7, 2025, family and friends will meet at West View community Church for a receiving of friends from 12:00 Pm to 1:30 PM with a service to follow at 1:30 PM. Pastor Bryce Justice to officiate. An interment at 3:00 PM will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
