Richard Lynn Watson

Richard L. Watson, age 61, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Richard was a loving father to Ari Frost and Madison Watson. He enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with family, listening to loud music, and cooking for those he loved. Richard touched many lives with his presence and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a proud 40-year member of IBEW Local 760.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Dean Proaps Watson. He is survived by his father, Robert “Phil” Watson; brother, Robert P. “Robbie” Watson and wife, Vickie; fiancée, Tammy Pass; daughters, Ari Frost and Madison Watson and his blended family, Beth and Brett Orr; and Danielle and Kevin Williams. He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Bentley, Brooklyn and Bryson Orr. Special people in Richard’s life included Melinda Treadway, mother of Ari and Madison, Michael and Billie Beach. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Trey and Kalyn Watson, Sarah Watson, Kadie Beach and Maranda Beach; great niece, Ellie Watson; and special neighbors, James and Annissa Troutt.

A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at a future date.
