Richard Hamilton Carver

Richard Hamilton Carver, born February 19, 1945, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024. He was born in Gloucester, VA to late Charles Wing Carver and Elizabeth Dowling Carver.  

Some might have known him as 'Dick' Carver, a dedicated and hard working Master Electrician for many years of his career. He spent time working at the Newport News Shipyard, building & growing his own business (AC-DC), and the Mariners Museum, to name a few. He spent his retirement years working at Dollywood, where he enjoyed his job working with children as they entered the park.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Andrea Williams Carver, and his only daughter, Andrea Hamilton Carver (Stephen McDonnell), who lives in San Francisco, CA. He was devoted to his family and spent most of his spare time coaching his daughter to be a collegiate softball player, where he was her biggest fan. 

He is also survived by his sister, Betty Diakun and her family; his late brother Charles Carver's family; his late brother Dana Carver's family; and his brother Kevin Carver and his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to many. He will be missed by all that has the honor of knowing him.
