Rhonda Jane Lane

Rhonda Jane Lane, age 70, of Rutledge, was born on May 1, 1955 in Gainsville, GA. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, Granny, and Great-Granny. She was a spitfire who was loving and outgoing. Rhonda loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and would give Him her praises and always look to Him for guidance no matter the circumstances or how hard life got. She loved like no other, but if she was not your biggest fan then you were sure to know it. Her distinct laugh was contagious and would make everyone either smile or nervous because you did not know if her laughter was from her causing some mischief. She was quite the comedian and always kept everyone on their toes because you never knew what to expect from her mouth or her actions. Dancing was a passion of hers and she would bust a move anywhere and everywhere if she heard her jams come on.

As a young child, Rhonda loved horseback riding and horror movies. Her children and grandchildren meant the word to her and she showed that love to them by many adventures and memories made with them.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Rhonda peacefully gaining her wings entering the pearly gates of Heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the morning of August 9, 2025 in her home.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marty Lane; father, Royce Carlyle; sister-in-law, Rhonda Carlyle; Grandparents, Hoyt and Cora Carlyle, Mayfield Watkins, and Vera Gann; special friend, Nancy Henderson.

She is cherished by her children, Steven Stiles and wife, Kelly, of Knoxville; Crystal Shelton and husband, Jason, of Rutledge; grandchildren, Austin Wooten of Herriman; Hannah Stiles and fiance, Taylor Fugate, of Clinton; Dylan Stiles of Knoxville; Dakota Stiles and wife, Katie, of Knoxville; Justin Bowling and wife, Natalie, of Blaine; Kessie Stiles of Knoxville; Jacob Bowling of Knoxville; MaKayla Shelton of Blaine; Emma Bowling of Rutledge; great-grandchildren, Everleigh Fugate of Clinton; Anastasia Wooten of Knoxville; mother, Sandra Carlyle of Lenoir City; siblings, Cynthia Monson and husband, Donnie, of Knoxville; Tim Carlyle of St. Johns, MI; Wes Carlyle and wife, Cindy, of Norris; Rachel Reed of Lenoir City; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitation from loved ones and friends on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm at Olivet Baptist Church, 4701 Pleasant Ridge Road, Knoxville, TN 37912 followed by a funeral service.
