Reva Cummings Phelps

Reva Cummings Phelps, age 96, of Powell, passed away on September 30, 2025. 

She was a very outgoing person, who loved to sit on the front porch in her swing and wave at passersby's and sit and talk to friends and neighbors. She very much loved eating chocolate candy while sitting in her recliner and watching "The Game Show Network" on TV. 

Reva was a charter member, and oldest member, of The Church at Sterchi Hills, as well as a former member of Glenwood Baptist Church. She retired from Standard Knitting Mill.

Preceded in death by husband, John L. Phelps; parents, Charles and Belle Cummings; sisters and their spouses, Theda and J.C. Patty, Polly and J.L. Ogle, Wilma and Luther Strange; brothers and their spouses, Jim and Helen Cummings, Cecil and Reva Cummings, and Nelvin and Louise Cummings.

She is survived by her daughters, Arlene Olinger and Susan Puckett (Larry); grandchild, David Olinger; as well as several nieces, nephews, friends, and their families.

A graveside service will be held at Berry Highland Memorial Garden on Monday, October 6, 2025 at 11:00am with Pastor Joel Dew.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Church at Sterchi Hills.
