Rev. Richie Lee Turner

Rev. Richie Lee Turner, age 70 of Corryton, TN, died peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

Richie loved life and loved his family, but most importantly he loved the Lord. He spent 37 years in ministry, pastoring churches in Knox and Anderson counties.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Lester Turner and Betty Shoffner Turner; brother, Terry Turner; stepfather, James Wright; son in law, Dirk Daniel; father-in-law and mother-in-law, LV and Dorothy Knight.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Pamela Knight Turner; daughter, Lori Turner; son, Travis Turner (Tonya); grandchildren, Luke Walker (Katelyn), Rylie Daniel, Kendyl Daniel; great grandchildren, Waylon Walker, Loralee Walker, and Kase Walker (arriving early June); brother, Leslie Turner (Lori); sister in law, Donna Turner; sister in law, Teresa Lane; brother in law, Richard Knight; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 6:00pm-8:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 1:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel on Friday, April 24, 2026, to go in procession to Wyrick Cemetery in Corryton, Tennessee (right next to Clear Branch Baptist Church) for a 2:00pm Graveside service with Rev. Charlie Tindell and Rev. Keith Weaver officiating.

Pallbearers: Luke Walker, Waylon Walker, Leslie Turner, Elijah Turner, Jacob Turner, Samuel Turner, Brad Turner, Austin Turner. Honorary Pallbearers: Robby Giles, Lanny Lane, Terry Smith, Steve Ellis.
