Rev. Frank Jimmy Moore, age 81 of Knoxville, transitioned peacefully to his heavenly home on September 20, 2024. He was born in Dandridge, TN to Frank and Essie Moore. He served 4 years in the Air Force and then had a short career in finance before giving his life to Jesus and accepting the call to share the gospel. He was an ordained Bishop in the Church of God and dedicated his adult life to seeing souls saved, delivered, and healed. He was best known for his revivals while traveling as an evangelist. His revivals and mission work took him to Canada, Peru, Israel, the virgin isles, and all over the eastern U.S. He organized and built West Haven Ministries in Knoxville, TN and was a dedicated pastor for more than 25 years. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and doting “poppy” and considered his family his greatest blessing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Essie Moore. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Judy Moore of 51 years; daughters Andrea Averett (Tony), Jessica Moore and Ashley Payne; grandchildren, Alexandria and Abby Averett, Anslee and Braxton Payne; sister, Brenda “BB” Albert; as well as several nieces and nephews. The body will lie in state from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Hills Union United Methodist Church 2483 Hills Chapel Road, Dandridge, TN 37725 followed by a 3:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service, Rev. Jimmy Dunn officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery with full military honors provided by the Pigeon Forge Military Honor Guard. Condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com
