Rebecca May Weishuhn, age 87 of Knoxville, TN, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 27, 2023. She was born in Big Sandy, TN, and a member of Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a hard worker, who enjoyed working in the garden, cooking, listening to gospel music, word searching/cross word puzzles, and an avid basketball player. She was a dedicated employee of Michigan Bell and AAA of Michigan for many years. She loved all her family and friends and held them dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by beloved parents, Ray and Ethel Laycock; daughter, Jeri Edwards; brother, Dennis Laycock; brother-in-law, Jean Richardson; and son-in-law, Taylor Scott. She is survived by loving daughter, Cynthia Scott; son, Jack Weishuhn; son-in-law, John Edwards; grandchildren, Shannon (Jeff) Cook, Savanna (Will) Roberts, and Jacquelyn (Tom) Heasley; great-grandchildren, Ava and Lillian Roberts, and Anna Taylor Cook; sisters, Regena Richardson, Diann (Don) Jackson, and Beth Laycock; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank the special caregivers; Carolyn Rose, Jessica Reynolds and Avion Rickman and also the staff of Adoration Home Health, SR Medical and Gentiva Hospice. Funeral service will be held 6:30pm, Monday, October 30, 2023, at Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, officiated by Dr. Thomas Sweet, with reception immediately following service. Family and friends will meet 10:45am, Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Bells Campground Cemetery for an 11:00 interment.
