Rebecca Lynne Rollison

Rebecca Lynne Sumpter Rollison, 63, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, in Knoxville, TN. She was the only child of the late Bob and Helen Sumpter (Owens).

Rebecca (Lynne) was a longtime high school Spanish and English teacher. She enjoyed dining out while being in the company of her many friends. She was also a great lover of cats. Rebecca (Lynne) worked for various school systems in Virginia and Tennessee: Cocke County, Anderson County, Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, and Knox County Schools to name a few. She was most recently a Spanish teacher at Union County High School.

Rebecca is survived by many cousins, Wanda Childress, Donna Sumpter (Shelton), Beverly Hunt; several close friends, Denise McGaha, Wando Weaver, Jennifer Seiber, Jennifer Melton, and Amy Ayers among others.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at at 3:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel.  (2000 Powell Drive, Powell, TN 37849)
