Reba Jane Whitson

Reba J. Whitson, age 82, of Halls Crossroads, quietly passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025. Reba was preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Alta Snodderly. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, James “Bud” Whitson; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly (Pat) Brennan; granddaughters, Bethany Hurst and Jade Brennan; niece, Lindsay (Scott) Collins; several special family members and friends. Reba retired from Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) after 23 years of service, and later returned to work at BVI for another 16 years, working with TVA retirees. Reba enjoyed spending time with family; visits with neighbors on the back porch; and knitting. She was a member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church. She will be forever loved and remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, neighbor and friend. We’ll miss her warm smile and open arms. Family and friends will gather at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wednesday, December 10, 2025 for an 11:00 AM graveside service with Charlie Lynch officiating.
