Raymond Henry Barger Sr.

Raymond Henry Barger Sr., age 97 of Knoxville, TN went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 16, 2025. He worked at Sanitary Laundry Linen Supply for almost 50 years and retired from Burns Mailing and Printing. Raymond was a lifetime member of Shriners Krebela Temple. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed going to the Smoky Mountains with his family. Raymond was married to the love of his life, Virginia Barger for almost 75 years. He was a people person and was loved by everyone he met.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Barger; parents, Richard and Mary Barger; siblings, Mabel, Christine, Martha, Grace, Thelma, James, Clifford, Frank, and Fred; son, Raymond Barger Jr., and grandson, Matthew Barger.

Raymond is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Barger; grandson, Brad (Ashley) Barger; great grandchildren, Leighton and Leila Barger; daughter-in-law, Donna Barger; sister-in-law’s, Phyllis Burns and Margaret Burns; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 12:30-2:30PM. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery at 3:00PM on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, for a graveside service, Rev. Scott Thomas officiating.
