Ray Howard Turner, age 85, of Powell, passed away, Saturday, December 1, 2012. He was a member of Central Baptist Church Fountain City and Moulders Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII and retired from Y-12. Preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Ruth Turner, parents, Charles “Topaz” and Thelma Turner, brothers, Jim and Don, sister Bobbie Kidd and step children, Marilyn Burleson and Rocky Booth. Survived by wife, Betty Turner, children, Terri Grigsby, Cathy Corrier, John Turner, daughter-in-law, Sharon Turner, step-sons, Mike Booth, Michael and Mark Burleson, 20 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, brothers, Jack, John and Paul Turner, sisters, Lois Swaggerty, Mary Lane and Linda Neff, several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital; 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 . Service, 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel, Fountain City, Rev. Mark Kidd officiating. Family and friends will meet, 10:45 a.m., Thursday, Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for interment at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
