Ray D. Farmer

Ray Dodson Farmer, age 89 of Knoxville, passed away at 1:40 pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church, Mascot. Retired from Lay's Packing Company after 36 years of service. Preceded in death by parents; James & Oma Farmer, brothers Jack & Bert Farmer, and nephew Jack Palmer. Survived by sister Margie Palmer, many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm, Rev. William Purvis and Rev. Charlie Lynch officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 2:30 pm to leave in procession for a 3:00 pm graveside service at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
