Raven TelaAnn Shepherd

Our precious baby girl, Raven, was born on June 24, 2026, weighing 5 pounds 6 ounces 15 inches long and gained her angel wings on September 15, 2026. Though her time here with us was far too short, the love, happiness, and light she brought into our lives will remain forever.

Raven was Mommy and Daddy’s beautiful baby girl. She loved her dancing fruit, she loved car rides, and she loved skin to skin. In just a few short months, she completely changed our world. Her sweet smile could brighten the darkest day, and waking up to her beautiful little face was one of the greatest blessings we could ever ask for. Every cuddle, every feeding, every little sound, every sleepy stretch, and every moment spent holding her will be treasured for the rest of our lives.

Raven was deeply loved by her mother, Teanna Giles, and her father, TJ Shepherd, along with her great-grandfather, four uncles, two aunts, and cousins who loved and adored her from the moment she entered this world.

She was preceded in death by her grandma, Tela Wright and great-grandmother, Barbara Wright. We find comfort in imagining that when Raven left our arms, she was welcomed into theirs.

There will never be enough words to explain the pain of losing our baby girl. Raven was not here long enough, but she was here long enough to change our lives forever. She made us parents. She showed us a kind of love we had never known before. She will never be replaced, never be forgotten, and never stop being our daughter.

We will carry Raven with us through every day, every milestone, and every moment that should have included her. Her name will continue to be spoken, her pictures will continue to be cherished, and the love we have for her will never fade.

Raven, Mommy and Daddy love you more than words could ever explain. You will always be our sweet baby girl. Until we can hold you again, fly high with Grandma and the rest of our loved ones watching over you.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel with a funeral service to follow.
