Randall Eugene Shular, age 73, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, February 16, 2026. Randall was born on September 06, 1952, to Howard Shular and Patricia “Antonia” Fawver, with special recognition to Grandparents J.R. and Dorothy Johnson for raising and instilling core values of life, he was of the Baptist faith. Randall was a Fulton High School graduate, Class of 1971. Following high school, he worked for Phillips Magnavox then Mosler Safe Co. In 1998 he started RES Service Group where he continued in the banking equipment and security field for a total of over 40 years’ experience in the industry with vast knowledge of electronics and nothing he couldn’t repair.
Family and friends remember Randall as someone who could light up a room without trying, and he always had dad jokes ready at a moment’s notice. Whether it was a perfectly timed pun or a classic dad joke. He believed life was simply better when you were laughing. He was the kind of man who never met a stranger, only friends he hadn’t joked with yet. Holidays and celebrations weren’t complete without his commentary. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, included, and just a little bit lighter.
Preceded in death by his parents, Howard Shular and Patricia “Antonia” Fawver; grandparents, James Randolph and Dorothy Johnson; and granddaughter, Alana M. Jenkins.
He’s survived by his loving wife, Vera, of 52 years; daughters, Heather M. Jenkins (Chad) and Courtney G. West; and son, Randall “Shaun” Shular (Nicky); grandchildren, Alyssa D. West, Cameron S. West, Emilia O. West, Callie N. Shular, Kelsie A. Shular, and Hollan M. Jenkins; and great-grandchild, Salem M. Huddleston.
Family and friends will gather at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, on Friday, February 20th, 2026, at 2:00pm and follow in procession to Lynnhurst Cemetery at 2300 Adair Dr for a 3:00pm entombment service, with Chaplain Phillip Groos officiating.
Flowers accepted as well as memorial financial contributions to wife, Vera Shular, to assist with final expenses.
