Ralph Wayne Dake

Dake, Ralph Wayne Sr. – age 73, met his Savior face-to-face on Thursday, September 13, 2012. He was a beloved husband of 46 years, as well as a dedicated dad, papaw and uncle. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #376 and served in the Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was the owner of the former Oak Ridge Barber Shop. Preceded in death by both parents; sister Barbara Bright; brothers J.W., Don and Glenn. Survived by his loving wife Betty (Byers); son Ralph Wayne, Jr. and daughter-in-law Lisa; daughter DeDe Lane and son-in-law William; daughter Barbara Miller and son-in-law David; grandchildren Katie, Jared, Chloe, Lorali and Caroline; brothers Clyde and Dale; cousin (that was like a brother) Bill Dake, as well as several other cousins, nieces and nephews. We also acknowledge special friends Roger and Brenda Lane for their help. Funeral service 7:00 pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Jim Haggard officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45 pm Sunday at Wolf Valley Baptist Church Cemetery for 2:00 pm interment. Family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
