Rachel Lynn Bumgarner

Rachel Bumgarner 04/03/1990-05/20/2023. On May 20th, Rachel Lynn Bumgarner, treasured daughter, sister, and friend, passed away at the age of 33 years. Rachel was born and raised in Cartersville, Georgia and earned a degree in Anthropology from the University of Georgia, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Her passion for travel and exploration led her to the corners of the US as well as abroad, including Italy and Australia. Rachel leaves behind her parents William Bumgarner and Brenda Bumgarner, siblings John (Cindy) Bumgarner and Kathryn (John) Bumgarner Ballard, as well as nieces Evangeline and Maya and nephew Toby. Family and friends will meet 12:45pm Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Stony Point Cemetery located at 2107 Stoney Point Rd Knoxville, TN 37914 for a 1:00pm graveside service, officiated by Rev. Brad Jones.
