Phyllis Sue McCarty

Phyllis Sue "Sissy" McCarty passed away Sunday July 16,2023 at the home of her daughter with her family by her side.

Sissy was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on November 8, 1949. She moved to Detroit,Of Michigan, but returned to Knoxville where she worked as a Dietary Technician. She loved watching Atlanta Braves Baseball and University of Tennessee football with her brother, Larry with whom she lived for several years until his death.

Sissy was preceded in death by her parents, Cliffon and Mary Vinyard, son, Cliff Todd, sister Patsy Sharp, twin brother Phillip Vineyard and brother Larry Vinyard.

Sissy is survived by her daughter Tonya and husband Jimmy Trentham, son Vince Todd and fiancé' Claudia Summerfield, grandson Gage McCarty, sisters in love whom she loved as her sisters, Margaret Vineyard and Joyce Rosenbalm. Nieces, Tracy Butturini, Carla McGuire, Missy Abbott, Amanda Vinyard, Laura Lindsey, and Kimberly Stilwell.

Nephews, Kenny Coward, Phillip Vineyard Jr. and Andy Vineyard.

Her family will receive friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 25,2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel, 2000 Powell Dr, Powell, Tennessee. Friends and family will meet Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 1:45 pm for a 2:00 pm graveside service at Piney Grove Baptist Church cemetery 1412 East Wolfe Valley Rd, Heiskell, Tn.
