Philip K. Proffitt

Philip K. Proffitt, age 63, passed away March 16, 2016. He was a member of The Church of Christ. He worked as the Build Materials Manager for 40 years at Standard Knitting Mills/Delta Apparel. Preceded in death by father, John Luther Proffitt. Left to cherish his memory are wife of 30 years, Barbara Sue Proffitt; son, Kenneth Proffitt of Sevierville; step daughters, Shelley Brady and husband James, and Melissa Rogers; grandchildren, John, Keira, and Kayla of Sevierville, Kayla, Christian, Lakin and Eric; great grandchild, Brylan; mother, Mary Annette King Proffitt; brothers, James Luther Proffitt and wife, Rue of Dandridge, Wiley Gene Proffitt and wife, Shirley of North Carolina; sister, Shirley McKnight and husband, Gary of Sevierville; cousin, Marie McCroskey. Family and friends will gather 10:30am Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Lynnhurst Cemetery for 11am interment service. Family will receive friends 5-7pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with funeral service to follow Rev. Brain Gray officiating.
