Peggy Aileen Jones

Peggy Aileen Hixon Jones, age 79, of Knoxville, TN passes away suddenly from complications of Parkinson's Disease on October 25, 2023. She was a loving mother and wife. She retired as Director of Admissions from Hillcrest Nursing Home after more than thirty years of service. She was devoted her family and friends, and she was an avid collector and quilter. 

Preceded in death by her parents Louella and Ott Hixon; Brothers, Junior Hixon, John S. Hixon, Burl Hixon, Taft Hixon, and Teb Hixon; Sisters, Gladys Hixon, Morine Dolias, and Gertie Mae Hixson; Grandson, Grayson Arizona Barnes. 

She is survived by her spouse Dewey Jones; Children, Melissa Rose, Susan Lynn, Janet Morris; Grandchildren, Levi Barnes, Alicia Morris, and William Morris.

A special thanks to loyal and devoted Hillcrest friends Angie Wilson, Peggy Wilson, Pat King, and loving care taker and friend Vena Parrot. Also, special thanks Christine Hixon for her unwavering help and support.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Following the visitation, family and friends will process to Woodlawn Cemetery for a 1:00pm graveside service.
