Paula D. McCarter

Paula D. McCarter, age 56 of Knoxville, passed away November 11, 2023. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Paula worked as a dispatcher for Knox County 911 for over 30 years. She will be remembered as a loving and giving person who was loyal to her family, loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping. Preceded in death by Sheila Nelson. Survived by fiancé Brian Townsend, son Nathan (Lucinda) Reid, mother Ruth Reece, father Johnnie Reece, sisters Heather Reece and Tammie Reece, fur-baby Ella, special friend Dawn Laxton, several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Friday, November 17, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow, Rev. Allen James and Rev. Bo Ambrose officiating.
