Paul Edward Cavanaugh

Paul Edward Cavanaugh, age 79, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, June 21, 2022. He was born on July 20, 1942, in Fall River, Massachusetts. Paul was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School 1960, and UMass Dartmouth 1964 (formerly New Bedford Institute of Technology). He served in the Navy from 1964 – 1969, being honorably discharged as a Lieutenant. Paul was a member of West Towne Christian Church where he served as Elder for several years. He enjoyed researching his ancestry, building boat models and Lego sets, and going on adventures with his loving wife. His favorite times were with his family talking, laughing, and playing games. He had the ability to light up a room wherever he went. He was loved by all who knew him. Paul loved the Lord, his family, and his country. Paul was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Avis Cavanaugh and sister’s Dale Cavanaugh and Barbara Cavanaugh. Paul is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years Karin B. Cavanaugh of Knoxville; daughter and husband Kelly and Kevin Haynes of Jonesborough; daughter Pamela Perry of Corryton; granddaughter Alexandria (Ali) Perry and grandson Chase Perry. The family will receive friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, June 24, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow. Reverend George Clark officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 AM Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery for a graveside service.
