Paul Edward Clark, age 88, of Powell, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2026. He was a longtime member of Pleasant Gap Church where he served as a church treasurer until recently. He was a graduate of Halls High School class of 1957 and went on to serve in the United States Army. After the military, Paul went on to work for the United States Postal Service for 35+ years before retiring. He also owned and operated school buses for Knox County School System. Paul was an avid supporter of the Halls High School Football team, often transporting the players to their away games.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Dail and Chloie Graves Clark; brothers, Lester, Chester, Hollis, Gene and Elmer; sisters, Helen Dills Blattenberger, Jane Humphrey and Lerita “Nickie” Schaad; and granddaughter, Taylor Clark.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Bob) Mullins, son, Dwayne (Tammy) Clark; stepson, Doug Stockwell; grandchildren, Logan (Emily) Mullins, Baylee (Trey) Mullins, Adam Clark and Zachary Clark; great grandchildren, Miller Mullins, Malakai Clark, Blakeley Clark, Bristol Miller and Baylie Bunch; fiancée, Judith Walker; special nephew, Clyde (Tammy) Clark; several other nieces and nephews; and numerous friends and neighbors.
Friends may call at their convenience on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, with a funeral service to follow with Pastor Cody Haynes, officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 PM on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Fort Sumter Community Cemetery for a 1:00 PM graveside service officiated by Pastor Michael Dupes. Pallbearers are Logan Mullins, Clyde Clark, Adam Clark, Zachary Clark, Junior Osborne and James Billings. Honorary Pallbearer is Rocky Glenn. Military honors will be presented by Tri-Co Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Pleasant Gap Church (4311 Pleasant Gap Drive, Powell, TN 37849) or Halls High School Football Program C/O Coach Brent Hughes.
