Patsy Sue Needham Mitchell

Patsy Sue Needham Mitchell, age 82, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Patsy was born August 31, 1941, in Knoxville, TN., to the late Alice Franklin. She graduated from Halls High School in 1959. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Patsy was a cherished wife, mother, nana and great-grandmother. She was blessed with a large and loving family. She has left behind her beloved husband of 63 years, Sherman Everett Mitchell, Jr., daughter, Alicia (Tracy) Norman, sons: John (Cindy) Mitchell, James (Kim) Mitchell and Justin (Melissa) Mitchell. Patsy was Nana to Aaron Norman, Austin (Brooke) Norman, Brooke Mitchell (Matt Fickey), Jake (Caitlyn) Mitchell, Casey (Corey) McCurry, Jason Mitchell, Autumn (Cameron) James, Avery Howard and Lydia Sue Mitchell. Great grandchildren: Ryan, Adalyn, Jaxx and soon to be Boone and Colton. Patsy had many special cousins and friends that she cherished. Special thanks to all her caregivers.
