Patricia Diane McCarty

Patricia “Diane” McCarty, age 68, of Knoxville, TN passed away on November 17, 2023.  Diane was the oldest of 5 siblings and was born and raised in Knoxville, TN where she met and married her high school sweetheart Michael “Mike” McCarty. Diane was preceded in death by her mother Wanda Sutton, sister Connie Daniels, sister-in-law Jeanette Jones, and her daughter Brandi Lynn McCarty. She is survived by her husband Mike, daughter Anna (Doug) Werker, son Steven (Stephanie), grandchildren Creed, Ethan, Julianna & Kason.  Surviving siblings are Brenda (Tommy) Hamilton, Susan (Eddie) Carpenter, Tony (Susan) Pratt, Mark (Lee) Bates, Tim Bates, brother-in-law Danny (Darlene) McCarty.  She is also survived by her father and bonus mother, George and Shirley Pratt as well as many nieces and nephews. Diane loved spending time on Norris Lake.  It is here that she met her husband, Mike (even though they lived on the same street and attended the same high school).  Diane cherished time at the lake throughout her life, especially when joined by her beloved family and friends. A visitation for Diane will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Mynatt’s Funeral Home, 2829 Rennoc Rd., Knoxville, TN 37918 with a service officiated by Rev. Darren Kitts to follow.
