Paris Theodore Archer

Paris Theodore Archer of Clinton, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, September 15th, 2026.

Paris was a Korean War veteran and his family’s hero. He loved to hear and tell jokes, sometimes laughing so hard he couldn’t get to the punch line. He and his wife loved to listen to local musicians play while they danced.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Ethel; 2 twin daughters, Marilyn and Carolyn; his parents, Kiley and Vina Archer; and brothers, Carson and Horace Archer and John Cabage.

He is survived by son, Terry (Sheila) Archer of Clinton; grandchildren, Rodney (Callie) Archer of Andersonville, Michelle (Staniel) Scott of Powell and Megan (Jonathan) Bradley of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Seth, Tristan, Aiden and Nealee Scott, Jack and Rowan Bradley and Cruz Archer; sister, Betty Jessing; and special friends, nephew Joe Harmon, Bob Tomkin, Pete Gawda and Teresa Stooksbury.

The family would like to thank UT Hospice (Katarina, Terri, Jim Carlisle). They would also like to thank Home Helpers of Knoxville and their caregiver, Kim Albain, whom they came to love.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, with a funeral service to follow officiated by Steve Foster and Doug Munsey. Family and friends will meet at 10:45am on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery (122 Mt. Pleasant Road, Andersonville, TN 37705) for an 11:00am graveside service with full military honors provided by Tri-County Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Archer, Jonathan Bradley, Staniel, Seth, Tristan and Aiden Scott.
