Opal S. Christian age 82 of Knoxville passed November 27, 2013. Preceded in death by, husband, James C. Christian, parents, Roscoe and Pearlie Shipley, 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Survivors, daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Bill Mellon and Karen and Jim Rice, daughter, Lisa Christian, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, 3 sisters. Family and friends will meet 12:30 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City and proceed to Big Barren Cemetery for a graveside service at 2 pm, Rev. Jack Arwood officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the charity of your choice. Family will receive friends 5 to 7 pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
