Norma Jean Weatherly Mikels

Mikels, Norma Jean Weatherly, 84, of the Carter Community, was ushered into the presence of her Lord on January 16, 2026. She received Christ at an early age and loved her church family. Her greatest joy was performing acts of kindness for family and friends. She retired after 40 years with Regions (Park/1st American) Bank in preparation for her second career as a loving grandmother and genealogist.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Ron, parents, Jessie and Elsie Pickel Weatherly, sister Gladys Bandy, brothers, Bud Weatherly and Harold Weatherly, and brother-in-law Jack Selby. Survived by devoted son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Meghan Mikels, and cherished granddaughters, Olivia and Lillian, sister, Martha Jane Selby, and several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held on January 23, 2026, with a Celebration of Life Service at Washington Pike UMC on February 8, 2026, at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Washington Pike UMC Food Pantry. Online condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com.
