Norma Lee Mayes

January 2, 1930 — October 12, 2022

Norma Lee Mayes, age 92, of Knoxville, TN went to be with the Lord on October, 12, 2022. She was a faithful member of Sharon Baptist Church for 74 years. She enjoyed dancing, spending time with friends and traveling. She adored her family and was kind, sweet and graceful. Her love for Jesus made her a light to everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her mother Delta Edmondson Moyers and father, Charles Clarence Moyers. She is survived by her husband, Bill Edmondson; children, Ricky Mayes and Darrell (Becky) Mayes; grandchildren, Chris (Vernette) Mayes, Kara (Denny) Koontz, and Jenna Mayes; great-grandchildren, Lucas Mayes, Emersyn Mayes, Krew Koontz, and Kollins Koontz; and sister, Jewel Lacy. The family will receive friends from 11am-1pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel on Friday, October 14, 2022. Friends and family will then go in procession to Woodhaven Funeral Home for a 2pm graveside service, with Dr. Jim Robertson and Rev. Mark McCoig officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sharon Baptist Church or Sacred Ground Hospice House. Condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com.
